1th Hour (Women's Murder Club) Everyone's favorite mystery thriller writer James Patterson is back with yet another book that is loaded with a lot of twists and turns, it kept me guessing right until the last word. This is one of those books that I actually felt I had to immediately read again once I had completed it, and that is exactly what I did. It was easy to do though because both times I read the book straight through, without putting it down. The 11th Hour is part of the Women's Murder Club. However in this one Lindsey is pregnant. I like how James Patterson was able to add this to the book and still be able to maintain her spirit and character.
There is two cases that are presented in the book and these are both very interesting and different. Unfortunately I managed to kind of figure out one of the cases way before the book solves it. It is not a big deal though since, one of the reasons I enjoy reading James Patterson is to try solve the cases whilst I read the book using all the clues that gives us. It really amazes me how he manages to keeps thinking up these awesome continuous story lines. However way he does it, it is good that he still can come up with these story lines. Spending time with Lindsey, Clare, Cindy and Yuki is always fun. With each book you can expect them to keep you entertained from the first word right to the very last word. There is indeed a formula to the stories but doesn't every great show on television have some sort of 'formula' too? As far as the marital situation of Lindsay, that felt a little rushed when compared to the time taken to develop the plot. He could have maybe spent a little more time on that for the readers.
Although Mr James Patterson gets most of the credit, we should not forget the co-author Maxine Paetro. The two of them worked well together to bring out the suspense in this book. Often Yuki's reactions were very immature and they made me laugh so hard. I certainly did not miss her in the courtroom sections of the book as she is very hard to believe in them. In many of the other books I usually just zoom past those parts anyway. Overall, as with all of James Patterson's books he plays with the English language, writing in short sentences and keeping the chapters short too. As far as I know he is the only one who does this so well. The book is so much fun to read. If you are one of those people who enjoys suspense thrillers that keep you at the edge of your seat, you will definitely love reading this one..
